1. Get your purchased files

This public page contains instructions only, not the paid templates. Return to your original purchase download to get the printable PDF, fillable PDF, and Excel workbook. Keep a backup of the originals.

2. Choose your format

3. Prepare your estimate

Enter the Job date once on the Estimate sheet or page. Use the job number to match the other paperwork.

Record customer details, scope, exclusions, quantities, and unit prices. In the workbook, mark a line Y only if it should enter the taxable subtotal and enter the applicable tax rate. Verify tax treatment and all totals before sharing.

4. Track expenses

Enter planned and actual line totals, not unit prices. Keep receipt references and record returns or unused materials. Do not include helper costs here if you will enter them separately in Job Summary.

5. Complete the job summary

Record completed work, follow-up items, final revenue excluding sales tax, sales tax, payments, paid help, and owner hours. The workbook pulls actual expenses from the expense log.

Job contribution = revenue excluding sales tax minus actual job expenses minus paid help.

This is not net profit: owner labor cost, overhead, and income taxes are not deducted. A negative customer balance may indicate an overpayment; check the entries.
